Member News: Milwaukee Public Library Express Lending Library
Milwaukee Public Library will be debuting an Express Vending Library in the Westlawn area of Milwaukee, perhaps as early as next month.
The unit, which will hold 400 items (CDs, books, DVDs,etc.) will be the first in Wisconsin, and one of the few in the country. Patrons will be able to browse, check out, and return available materials as well as pick up and return holds.
The project is a collaboration between the library and the Housing Authority, which operates the Westlawn public housing development.
