New Product from NAXOS
Streaming partner NAXOS is excited to announce the launch of their new digital product, Naxos Works Database [www.naxosworks.com]. It features information on over 25,000 classical musical works, with more than 3,500 composers represented along with their biographies.
This new Naxos service meets the needs of many artists and performing arts organizations – a place where they can find all the most important information about classical musical works. Criteria include instrumentation, duration of work, year of composition, composer biographies, program notes and much more. The Naxos Works Database (WDB) is a destination for any student with an upcoming recital. Need a 5-minute piece for solo harp? No problem!
The data derives from the vast amount of information contained in the Naxos Music Library, and is augmented by information from many other sources and music publishers. The new service offers sophisticated search capabilities – users can search by duration of piece, year of composition, country of birth of the composer, category, featured instrument and many other criteria, either singly or combined, making it an indispensable tool for concert programming.
This is a growing product, and music entries are added daily. The total number of included works will be vastly expanded over time. This is a unique product and there’s nothing else like it on the internet, with this much content, and at such reasonable price. Any competing service/publication contains only a fraction of the works included in Naxos Works Database.
