Brain HQ From Demco Software
![]() |
Brain health is increasingly in the news as more is learned about the connections between mind and body, and healthy aging. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. But there’s hope in recent research showing that brain training, and more specifically speed training, can cut dementia risk by 48%. WiLS is excited to offer BrainHQ™, a way for public libraries to help their communities address this growing concern.
BrainHQ is an online suite of brain fitness exercises that can be accessed by patrons anywhere – inside the library and out using computers, tablets, and smartphones. All exercises are intentionally designed to build healthier, stronger brains. A September 2014 AARP survey reports 9 in 10 people say brain health is important, but few know how to maintain it. Your public library can become the access point for improving your community’s brain health.
