WiLSWorld Shorts: Using Slack for Your Team’s Communications
This event was held on Friday, September 17th at 1:00 pm. Watch the recording on YouTube.
For many libraries, schools, and other workplaces, the shift to an all-remote or hybrid approach to work during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic presented an urgent need for an effective and efficient internal communication framework and tools to implement that framework quickly. As people return to their workplaces, the need for streamlined internal communication options, which could supplement or even replace email communication and Zoom or in-person meetings, remains a priority. This presentation will dive into some common questions about workplace communication (How much is too much? How can a team stay connected in a virtual setting? What guidelines or policies should be in place ahead of time?) through the lens of Slack, the primary internal communications tool WiLS uses at our fully remote workplace. Learn how a tool like Slack can make your internal communications more engaging, efficient, and — dare we say it — even fun.
