Academic Cooperative Purchasing Service New Subscriptions Managed for Free

We are excited to share that WiLS will manage any new subscription or purchase for academic library cooperative purchasing members for free! Get those direct subscriptions off your plate and let us take care of them.

As part of our effort to achieve a business model that better meets the needs of members and better reflects WiLS organizational values, per-subscription WiLS service fees are waived for new subscriptions going forward. This applies to any purchases or subscriptions you’d like WiLS to manage. If the vendor is already a WiLS vendor partner, your subscription will be handled just like any other; WiLS will manage pricing requests and negotiations, renewal information will be available in MyWiLS, and you can receive your invoice at the time that’s best for you. If the vendor is not a WiLS partner, simply forward us your bill with the date you’d like to be invoiced and we’ll take care of it!

This is the first phase of our process to change how we charge for cooperative purchasing services. The second phase, beginning in July 2021, will shift all per-subscription service fees to a single flat annual membership fee. This change will not only disentangle our fees for cooperative purchasing service from what vendors charge for products, but it will result in greater time savings, cost savings, and predictability for our members.

Interested in moving some subscriptions into WiLS’ care? Contact us with questions, or just send along your subscription invoices, to !
