New OCLC President & CEO
Skip Prichard has been named OCLC President and CEO. An experienced senior executive in the information services market, Mr. Prichard has led multi-national organizations that serve libraries across the full spectrum of library services and content needs. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Ingram Content Group Inc., which provides a broad range of physical and digital services to the book industry.

Mr. Prichard will succeed Jay Jordan, who will retire June 30 after 15 years as OCLC President and CEO. He will serve as OCLC President-elect, effective June 3, and will officially become President and CEO on July 1.

WorldCat Database Reaches 2 Billion Holdings
On Saturday, May 4 at 2:58 a.m. (MDT), the holding symbol for the University of Alberta Libraries, in Edmonton, was set through an automated process to the WorldCat record for the e-book, Evaluation of the City of Lakes Family Health Team Patient Portal Pilot Project: Final Report. It was the 2 billionth holding set in WorldCat.

OCLCWorldShare Interlibrary Loan to Replace WorldCat Resource Sharing
After more than 2 years of work that has touched nearly all parts of our organization, the new OCLC WorldShare™ Interlibrary Loan service is scheduled for release to libraries in the United States on March 12. Following initial availability in the United States, WorldShare Interlibrary Loan will be released worldwide in June. All WorldCat Resource Sharing users must complete their transition to the new service by December 31, 2013, when OCLC will end access to the WorldCat Resource Sharing service. Read more
