OCLC Updates

OCLCWorldShare Interlibrary Loan to Replace WorldCat Resource Sharing
After more than 2 years of work that has touched nearly all parts of our organization, the new OCLC WorldShare™ Interlibrary Loan service is scheduled for release to libraries in the United States on March 12. Following initial availability in the United States, WorldShare Interlibrary Loan will be released worldwide in June. All WorldCat Resource Sharing users must complete their transition to the new service by December 31, 2013, when OCLC will end access to the WorldCat Resource Sharing service. Read more

Annual ILL Meeting

Over 100 people met for the 2012 ILL meeting on October 9. It was a great opportunity to learn, network, and share. Changes and best practices in resource sharing made for lively conversations in both the OCLC and WISCAT tracks. There was even a chance to stretch our legs on a tour of UW-Madison Memorial Library, the home of so many unique resources. To review the session slides, see the annual meeting matrix.

Innovations in Libraries 2012
