WiLS Research and Data Services

Kim Kiesewetter joined WiLS in 2020 as our new resident data analyst. While she spent the first part of her tenure learning the lay of the Wisconsin library landscape, she’s been expanding her capacity in recent months to offer increased research and data services to WiLS members and partner entities. Examples of different projects she’s been working on include:

  • Facilitating workshops on building data literacy and confidence
  • Co-writing a report on how to use demographics in library decision-making and planning
  • Conducting a research report and one-pager snapshots of how the Covid pandemic impacted digital collections in Wisconsin utilizing Wisconsin’s Digital Library and Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium as case studies
  • Building out data dashboards for WiLS’ consulting service cohorts

Kim’s background is in the social sciences with a strong foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including extensive formal training in program and grant evaluation. WiLS’ approach to our research projects is about producing high-quality, cost-effective work while maintaining a relaxed, accessible approach starting at your personal comfort level. WiLS is able to offer a range of research and data services from survey development to conducting needs assessments to evaluating programs. If you are embarking on a project that would benefit from research and data analysis, feel free to reach out to Kim and the WiLS team at . We would love to work with you!
