WiLS March 2019 Staff Interview: Melissa McLimans, Community Liaison and Service Specialist
You may have noticed that WiLS has some new faces among its staff. We are excited to grow our skills and improve our services by bringing new members into our team while also leveraging the experience and strengths that our existing team contributes. The White House budget proposal for FY2020 has, for a third time, proposed elimination of federal funding for libraries. This year’s “Dear Appropriator” letters have started to circulate in the House, asking Representatives to preserve more than $210 million in federal library funding. Read more

WiLSWorld 2019 Keynote – Rebecca Stavick
Save the date for WiLSWorld 2019! WiLS’ annual conference on innovative library practices in technology and collaboration brings together our members from across Wisconsin and beyond to share ideas, connect with one another, and learn about developments in the field.
This year, WiLSWorld will be held on July 23rd, with workshops on July 24th, at the Pyle Center in Madison.
We are excited to share that WiLSWorld’s 2019 Keynote Speaker will be Rebecca Stavick, Executive Director of Do Space in Omaha, co-founder of Open Nebraska, Library Journal Mover & Shaker, and member of the Urban Libraries Council Executive Board.
